Cross Country Saturday 28th May

What a start to the day – conditions on entry to the reserve at cockatoo was fogged in and I think a lot of runners were just shivering at the sight even before getting out of the cars!! For the brave souls who ventured out into the conditions, what an experience it was. The course proved to be new and exciting with conditions such as well- fun hills, mud, puddles, creek crossings, logs and slippery forest trails. Even with all this most agreed that it was fantastic fun and the atmosphere was high spirited by all. Having a BBQ after the run really topped the day brilliantly, although I think most of the kids will tell you it was the amazing amount of lollies!!

There were many PB’S again so congratulations again to you all as the course is quite challenging. Next week is round 7 and we are back at Morrison reserve with warm ups starting at 8.45am.

Now as mentioned in our weekly talks we have put on a special event the following week out at cockatoo. Please allow roughly 40-45mins to get there and it is the same start up time as usual with warm ups beginning at 8.45am. There will be a BBQ and drinks available so please get along as it will be a great and enjoyable day for all out there and it would be fantastic for all the outer eastern clubs being together.
